3 Reasons Weekend Warriors Should Visit Us

smiling family hiking near likeYou spend countless hours every week working, and sometimes, you don’t always have the time you need to exercise and work on your health. But when the weekend rolls around, you love to blow off steam and relax with activities you love, like water skiing, running races, or simply spending active time with your family.

Sound familiar?

If you said yes, you might be a weekend warrior. And while there’s nothing wrong with that, we’d like to help you avoid the week-long painful payback that sometimes comes with going hard on your body on weekends.

Here are a few things you should consider:

  • Stretch before and after your activities–even if it’s not traditional exercise. For example, if you’re golfing and haven’t golfed in a while, you might not break a sweat on the course, but your shoulder might feel like a ring of fire the next day. Aim to stretch for 10-15 minutes before and after any activities during the week and weekend.
  • Listen to your body. If you’re experiencing even the slightest bit of pain during activity, don’t push your limits–because they’ve already been pushed! Even pain that’s small can add up to big problems in the body.
  • Visit us periodically for chiropractic adjustments. Keeping your spine aligned and nervous system functioning well can help reduce injury recurrence and keep you balanced.
